Claims

General requirement to assist in the event of a claim

  • Report losses/theft/motor vehicle accidents to the SAPS – Obtain the reference number. Loss must be reported within 24 hours
  • Obtain the blacklisting for a cell phone if lost or misplaced
  • Have proof of purchase on hand – Invoices, boxes, charges and the like
  • Hand in a clear copy of your drivers’ license if in an accident
  • Have available your original registration documents for your motor vehicle
  • Obtain all third party details if a third party is involved
  • Ensure back ups are taken and are secure
  • Be able to assist the assessor should one be appointed to any loss
  • Keep accurate account of all daily monetary transactions
  • Keep proof of all purchases e.g. stock
  • Obtain quotes for damages to or the loss of items
  • Complete the claim form fully with a clear description of the incident
